The Lakeshore Leadership Club met today to talk about bullying prevention strategies and start a kindness chain. The goal is to keep the chain growing for the rest of the month til it spans across both LVS classrooms!
October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month! The Lakeshore Leadership Club has planned a couple of activities for this week to help recognize how important it is to stand up for others and the difference one kind word or action can make in someone's day.

Our LVP Project Day was a huge success Wednesday. Great job to all the instructors and students who performed and created displays to show off what they learned throughout the school year!
Our Leadership Club hosted an event for Mental Health Awareness month in collaboration with our counselor. VP Andrew led the group in a round of Jeopardy-style trivia to help educate on different mental health topics and they painted a banner together to hang in our classroom.
Congratulations to our Kiwanis Citizenship Award Winner, LVS Senior Autumn Taylor. You are so deserving, and we can't to see what great things you do after high school!
Happy Earth Day from LVS! The Lakeshore Leadership Club picked up trash outside of CHS today and were lucky enough to see a snake on their walk! They also collected over 600 pairs of eclipse glasses over the past 2 weeks that will be sent to other countries for future eclipses!
We hope you all enjoy the eclipse today! Be safe, and be sure to recycle your glasses after use! The Lakeshore Leadership Club, in partnership with Astronomers Without Borders, will be collecting used glasses to be sent to students in other countries for future eclipse events!
March is Reading Month! The LLC arranged for Carlson and Lakeshore students to read and make bookmarks with Ms. Witte's class at Shumate yesterday!
Lakeshore's Leadership Club is assisting Soroptimist Flat Rock this week by collecting gently used purses for women who have fled from domestic abuse. Purses can be brought to the LVS campus during the school day now through Friday, March 22nd!
Our Leadership Club representatives attended the GSD Student Leadership Day yesterday! They discussed what they've been doing for our school and the community and came up with new ideas for future events with other student leaders from around the district!
LVS celebrated Black History Month by inviting staff and students to bring a dish to share and speak about it's importance in their family history.
February is International Boost Your Self Esteem Month! The Lakeshore Leadership Club celebrated by writing and posting positive affirmations on the Carlson mirrors to hopefully make other students smile!
LVS had a door decorating contest over the past two weeks and students and staff voted today!

Happy Holidays from LVS! The Leadership Club hosted a holiday party today to kick off winter break! We played games, watched Elf, drank hot cocoa, and ate tons of sweet treats brought in by staff and students. :)
